In the Arkansas Valley area, some 60% of us own our homes.  Those of us included in that 60% have achieved a stable place to come to at the end of the day; our safe, secure retreat from the world.   There are, though, in the Arkansas Valley, more than 33,908 low-income households, and another 8,795 very low income households.  Among families below the poverty level, just 7% own their home.  No matter how hard they work, the vast majority of these families will not be able to achieve home ownership – ever – without the opportunity offered by Arkansas Valley Habitat and its supporters.

Quality affordable housing for owner occupants stabilizes and invigorates neighborhoods, and contributes tremendously to the health and vigor of our economy.  Neighborhoods that have higher ownership rates are statistically safer, more stable, with higher property values, and less crime.

• Any form of contribution you would like to make to Arkansas Valley Habitat can be made in honor or memory of a special friend or loved one.  The form linked below can be printed, completed, and sent in with your check to the Habitat office at the address below.  Or, you can also specify a memorial or honoraria while donating online.  With any other form of contribution, please just let Habitat staff know your wishes regarding a memorial or honoraria.
