Where We Are Building

All of the homes built by Arkansas Valley Habitat for Humanity since 1989 have been located either in Fort Smith in Sebastian County or Van Buren in Crawford County.

We will have plenty of opportunities for volunteer builders for the remainder of 2008; we have houses in process in the 2300 block of North 28th Street (see map)and will start building in late September at 2126 North 29th in Fort Smith (see map).  We will kick off a new building season in January of 2009, with the arrival of our HFHI Collegiate Challenge builders.

Plans for 2008 are ambitious; we intend to increase our annual capacity to  7 homes built in 2008.  We plan to increase our capacity over the next three years to 10 houses annually.
